New Laptop

So Im going away for a few weeks for work, Ill be in LA area, Huntington Beach to be specific.....hopefully no longer than for just a couple of weeks...Soo..I just bought me a laptop, after much debating weather I should get one or not, and with BF3 beta around the corner, I decided it is time to get a gaming laptop that I can have with me in my travels and not worry about missing out on good shit and feed my gaming addiction. I wasnt looking for anyting crazy, just something that could match up my desktop I have at home...
This is what I came up with..

Will be at my house tomorrow, which will give me one and a half day to put all my games n shit in it before I leave.. :-)

Meat has the 17 inch version. The MSI is a great example of this common level of gaming laptop hardware. The i7 2630qm is a great cpu and in comparison to desktops the 560m is a 550Ti with a lower clock speed. It can game for sure but the only thing your gonna beat up is a 600 dollar amd with a 6770.
 
Thats the only reason Im getting it, so I can game while in my hotel room at night. :-) BTW. whats a fast way of transfering my shit from my desktop to that laptop? Besides using flash drives and so on...
 
If your desktop has gigabit ethernet then since the laptop does you can do it pretty quick over networking. Mdix should be supported so no crossover cable would be needed to just directly connect the machines. That way you dont need a gigabit capable router or switch. Truly fastest way todo it is just take the drive out of the laptop and hook it to the desktop its sata so same as 3.5.
 
3dmark that shit and tell me the settings you run it on. I'll test my new one when i get it in a couple days. :D
 
Awww....:-) Well, I was gona 3DMark it as soon as I turn it on anyways..:-) So yeah, Ill post it. :-)
 
Pffft I had no choice. If a 560 was available for that model I woulda gotten it:-p. Besides, mine is a lb lighter:-D
