I think we are ready for a comprehensive thread of the dumbest things you won't believe your politicians have said. There is a fuckload of material to keep this thread going and I'm going to start it with one of my all time favorites from 2 years ago as Congressman Hank Johnson of Georgia questions the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs on the DOD's plans to change our military posture overseas by moving a division of Marines from Japan/Korea to Guam. The admiral's response was fantastic, truly an example of self control as you can see him trying not to laugh. By the way the good people of Atlanta saw fit to return this simpleton to the house reelecting him in 2010. He also has Hep C, seriously.

Not only is he still in office, he was re-elected immediately AFTER this. This thread is gonna be so much fun, most people have no idea how stupid some of their elected representatives are. Legitimately stupid, and some are just fun to listen to. Wait til we get to Bobby Rush and Robert Byrd. I'll try to keep it mostly to people still in office but some are SOOOOOO good they will make the list even though they are deceased (Robert Byrd died in office). Rush and Byrd are a really interesting diachotemy, one was a Black Panther and one was a clansman, both were Democrats serving in congress at the same time.

Its worth noting if u cant copy the embed code for some reason there is a Video button right next to the image one u can use to put in the url. I always go for the embed code off youtube though.
