Oh god you should have seen the look on the technicians face when I asked for a puller and he asked for what I said "Well in the video the guy used a puller to push the axle back through" and he was like "Wait you haven't done this before?". I came in wearing my full uniform from the Ford Dealer since its the best thing to get dirty in lol.

Took me 3 hours to do the Hub/Bearing and brakes on all 4 corners. Longer than it should have been but fuck it I am new :p Now about those upper control arm bushings (this side isn't too bad the other is GONE). Job was pretty damned easy. Only real hard part is separating the hub from the knuckle.

The front end is so quiet now.... I dunno what I am gonna do with all this silence. There was so much play in the old bearing the brake rotor was actually hitting the caliper bracket.

Good job dude and you still have all your fingers :)

Feels like I have arthritis though lol. But fuck yeah man had I done this on the ground I would be bleeding for sure.

Owner of the shop walks by when I had it like 3 feet off the ground and he is like "You know the lift goes higher right?" I was like "Yeah well I am used to working on the ground".

Thanks for pushing me in the direction of using the right tools Mario. Pretty sure this garage is going to be seeing alot of rental time from me. I kinda laughed when I saw a guy doing an oil change on his Accord but then I realized I take for granted having just enough ride height to get to the oil pan. Even lowered the filter isn't an issue on this because with the 4WD/AWD system GM relocated the filter to the bumper.

Nice work! From the wheel on the ground, I would guess you drive a blazer or S10.

Yeah you should also be able to tell its 4wd by that rim if the rest doesn't tell you. 99 Blazer came with the ugly 98 99 only grill swapped it out for one off an 01 S10 never got it painted so it still looks a little base modelish.

Did a bunch of work on it when I got it going to all the yards getting every option from 99. Auto dimming mirrors, fuel economy read out for the overhead console all that stuff. I even had the interior out to 3d model for the box and center console i was building. Cut MDF is still next to my desk. Put it on hold as i explored a Cummins 4bt swap then a ls based v8. Audio budget was blown mostly on my new desktop.

I cant afford to swap on a 4wd blazer. 4BT is a bitch because of transmission needing a controller so 1000 for a standalone or swap the 4L60E for a 7R400 but that wont mate to my transfer case so adaptation means custom driveshafts. Im doing this for fuel efficiency so screw that right. Most of the guys swapping even iron truck block ls based motors are getting 5 mpg more than me but and i quote no one makes an oil pan or headers for this swap. PhilinTX has 90 hours in his headers as its tight and he wanted to be damn sure there was no rattle. So thats out.

Current plan if my money is ever right is to aquire a 95 body and 2wd frame. 99+ doors, front clip, and interior. 2001+ Interior electronics as they're a bit friendlier with the newer truck computers in providing data for the fuel economy and cluster. Trying to do this as close to 50 state legal as possible part of the reason why i want the 95 but also why im not willing to mix engine parts. Ill take what i can get the newer vvt and dod equiped 6.2s would be a dream but im partial to a cable throttle van motor. Drive by wire does have its advantages, less parts like cruise control and less worry for idle air control. Going with the full size abs modulator so i dont have to flash the ecm with the blazer module. 4.3 Vortec uses the small block patterned 4l60 so a junk yard case from a silverado. Last but noy least the 5 speed 2 door blazer has a larger ring gear version of the 10 bolt so I desire that axle.

Anyway here is my pos:

Can't tell you how much I like having a lift in my garage... :-)
