Quick BF2 Question

Hello TBG's,
I've been out of the game for a couple years and just updated from whatever to
1.41 then 1.50. It all works, but there's only 15 servers at 'same mod, same version,
PB'. However, I see that there's 600 servers if I uncheck "same mod".

Is 1.50 not the latest or is it unpopular? What version is your IO Karkand server ?

1.50 is the latest version. Did you install 1.41 first and then 1.50? You need to install in that order.

Sure, the game works fine. There's suspiciously few servers and I cant connect to TBG because it appears to be a version mismatch. Hence my previous question.
But, If you tell me that the TBG IO server is v 1.50 with no special mod, then I do have a problem of some sort.

our server is 1.50 latest. Did you check your filters in advanced tab?
Also go into regedit and make sure your battlefield 2 version says 1.5 on it.

Off to check, I hope that 2gig download after the 1.41 update wasnt wasted.

Thanks a bunch, knowing that narrowed the available problems down to my system.
One complete reboot later, everything appears to be working like a charm.

Sadly, I have forgotten all the controls of the game, be patient if you see a 3 star general standing around like a noob.

Don't worry about it - I once stopped playing for about 7 months, and it took me one week to get the feel of the guns back. I know what you mean.
 
Worked my way thru the inevitable punkbuster issues (it didnt like my old version fraps)
and other stuff, but it's all good now and Im not being bumped off the server.
I did get a few levels in today, very nice, no foolishness or griefing going on.
