Forgive me Owen but I'm not seeing anything out of the ordinary on this player. I'm unfamiliar with any type of "jet invincibility" but if it's just another common BF4 bug then there isn't much that can be done about it. I'll wait and see if anyone else with Jet experience replies on this matter.

One can take a jet and fly it as high as you can go and it will get stuck in invisible wall. You can still shoot but barely, you can't move jet and you can take damage from my experience. Most of the time people end up there is by accident. I would put this a one off.
 
I had an incident the other week experiencing this issue. Its like your jet goes into a stall.........in zero gravity. And you basically have to wait untill you fall down, or some how manage to drop the nose anywhere but up. As far as the hit registry, I chased a guy up there because I was on his six, almost had him, bullets werent doing what they were supposed to even though getting hit markers, but he seemed to stop and relocate in front of my eyes. then I was stuck.

If another jet/AA sees you, the fact that you are stuck out there, in limbo, i would take it the bullets kinda just stop and stall as well. But the amount of time you are out of combat (like @Avery78 said, most times its an accident), and the time it takes for you to somehow luck your Direction of Travel out of limbo, 5 minutes has passed.
