I also just got off the phone with COX Cable. My modem was suposed tobe 5 gigs download and it's only getting 2.8 and that was after I reset it. The modem is too old to compete. Lately every server I play I am making hits but few are dying. I guess the modem speed is a problem. No modem coming July 9th with supposedly 10 gig download. Hopefully that will help.
