Reserve Slots

Reserve slots has been put in the servers.

How it works is that the regular slot count still goes to 24.

There are 2 reserve slots, so if 2 reserve slot players joins it will goto 26.

However lets say there is 14 players, and 2 reserve slot players are already on - the server will then fill up to 26 as the 2 reserve slots are already used - if someone else needs a slot most likely there is already an Admin on the server playing to kick an afk etc.

If the server is full from regular slots - the server will then automatically put in a password - to join you will need to enter the password that was provided in the private forums -

This way the server won't keep kicking people who are trying to join when they don't have a reserve slot.

I noticed today that it goes to 26 players, even if there's not two reserved slots being used.

Nevermind, there's 24 players in the server and 2 loading in. They seem to get kicked after they finish loading... one guy's just taking over 5 mins to load.

It's a good idea, but I wish the execution were a little more kind to the non reserved people. If I try and join the server at 22 or 23 people I will sit through the loading screen, get onto the server, only to get spammed with "This slot is reserved, you'll now be kicked." I'm assuming someone managed to load in before I did and took the non-reserved slots pushing me off. Just kind of a slap in the face after sitting for the minute or two of loading.

Yes, I do agree with that - however unfortunately that is how the mod works - i've been in contact with the guy who created it - he is still working out a few bugs etc- that is why the password is in place after the regular slots are filled.

if you ever do need a slot just hop on our TS and we'll gladly kick someone for you.

Haha, you guys are sweet, but I couldn't take advantage of that (Would feel bad for the kickees). I'm glad the author is looking at it though, thanks for the reply regardless.
