Second Assault Server, Metro

Hey guys, I know over the last few days a couple people have expressed interest in removing metro from the 2nd assault server. Every time it comes up in the rotation the server usually empties quite a bit. Is there anyway we can take it out of the rotation? Most people that want to play metro usually go to our metro/locker server. If not, no big deal, just thought I'd throw it out there because of the recent interest/comments and was wondering if anyone else agreed.

That server went from the 100s to 5th overall. I'm not sure that is a good idea.

Not that I care too much about rank but gives an indication that it is doing pretty well

Unless there is an overwhelming vote from people here that want it out.
 
I usually spend time in it. I will see what happens after a few rounds tonight. I don't recall seeing a drop previously, but wasn't paying that close attention to it. I do know that the metro gameplay is totally different on Second Assault compared to metro/lockers. The players are much less familiar with the map. I was actually able to come in second overall, and I am not that good.
 
always lose a lot of players when metro is on. is going to be good for the server to remove it and add massage on the chat let them players know that we have a dedicated metro-loker server
 
  • Around time do you see player drop because the last 2 weeks it is full, like 24/7 and can't get any better than that lol


 
I would rather see Metro taken out of all maps rotation. But it would defeat purpose of ALL maps. that is where my vote would lay.
 
Okay we have metro on how many servers? Like 4 seriously unnecessary . Being on the locker server makes sense to like minded / architected maps being bundled together is kinda cohesive. Having it on the Second Assault server though or even the all map server is monotonous .
 
Something to keep in mind that regulars who enjoy maybe only one of our servers like rush or all maps might not be happy with removing that map since that is the only server they play exclusively. After all we do advertise all maps for rush and conquest. They are very unique servers.

You can make the same argument for locker, resort, shanghai etc as well. We run all these maps on almost all our servers

Also keiser metro is only running on 3 servers. One with locker, one in rush mode (the map plays totally different in rush) and part of the all maps rotation

I have already received 2 PMs from regulars asking why dlc maps are not running on the rush server. I think there is also a thread about this somewhere in the forums

Had to take dlc off from rush because of crashes but they were adamant they wanted back on lol

keep an eye on all maps. and watch the numbers every time metro pops into rotation for a few days.
 
Will do you can actually check what map it dies on using gameme graph. Honestly any time any of our server dies is because of a server crash.

Yea, I am unsure of where an hourly graph is.; so I can compare numbers ratio to map... But when metro rolls around, I dont mean a complete server empty, but an upwards of 5-12 leave, once round is over it fills back up.

**I do like that GameMe stuff, just havennt quite figured out where everything is**
 
I mean we do get the daily couple hours (during the weekdays mainly) where the server is quiet. But it seems like every 3rd hour it drops, I guess I should time average rotation loop, and try to show some numbers.
 
I'll just play it tonight and see what happens when it goes to metro. I imagine some players will leave, I know I think that map is a boring grenade fest, I just run around and heal or CHARGE!!!!!! constantly.
 
all maps takes a while to go through the rotation. Some rounds last longer than others, but gotta think avg round 30-45 minutes...
 
Server is doing great. I have a feeling regulars will be disgruntled if we change things.

Not to come off sounding like a jerk, but do these "regulars" donate toward the cost of the servers? Seems like paying members should have more of a say. Honestly, I think when it comes to map rotations it should come down to a poll of members. I personally don't care too much about map rotation, but I know there are people in our clan that play maps other than Metro or Locker that do. Just a suggestion!

Also you dont want to deter a good portion of your server population away because ultimately it keeps the server going for us to.enjoy.

If a bunch of members say they want it out then obviously that will happen.
