So the legend was true...

The pictures in the article confirm nothing. Atari admitted to the possibility of dumping scraps including plastic. Why would they not publish the first pictures showing the cartridge at an angle so we can see that the boards are still in the case. The legends counter is that no boards where dumped just trash.

So now we have to wait for more pictures or the stupid documentary... Anybody wanting to confirm this and or gave an actual shit about video games would have made sure to show the connector.
 
The arstechnica article has more pictures but none of them appear to show the cartridge connector.

This pic shows a close up of the case which while squished may also be empty. Hard to tell.

Finally had a moment to read the ars version. They say they found cartridges that look good and might play.

So let me get this right. Your looking for sauce, you find sauce, you proceed to have sauce not published?

True story, the Albequrque minor league baseball team is called the "Isotopes" ala the Simpsons, only funnier because of New Mexico's nuclear explosion history.
