when you take your old car out for a spin and run straight into an F350 going 65 mph.

Another funny thing to mention is the fact that the airbags didnt even deploy. fml.

Yeah I was thinking I could get a lawsuit going on cause my back and neck are killing me hardcore.

edit

However, its a old version of the car so I doubt that it'd go very far.. Thankfully it was my old car and not my new one, I was just forced to take this one to work due to my new car getting a tune up.

i have to find the pic of the lexus i did that rear ended a box truck at 90...

Life Flighted ... We never really know what happens to them unless they don't make it .. Then we have to take the cars to the State Trooper Impound ..

Not a fun ride.

It didn't go off because it was upper frame damage. The sensor is located on the lower frame. Just behind the radiator.

Oh, I see. I guess that makes sense.. I hit the truck from behind and pretty much went under it then shot back out.

there was recently talk on CNN about a mass of bogus airbags being sold in the states, your lawsuit would work like a dream.

Except it wouldn't. Unless he had it replaced it is likely the original. Looks like a 96-98 and you would easily tell with the color of the material if it was the original.

As Mario points out while I personally thought the sensors on those cars where on the metal bumper either way its the same deal. The car went under the truck and the impact was much less direct and much more gradual as well riding up the front of the car. The real metal bumper and everything foward of it (foam, plastic bumper, etc) was pushed down. The way the switches I have seen work its unlikely for them to go off.

Dead on, it's a 98 and I'm pretty sure it's the original..lol. Probably a bad idea to keep the original in there for so long anyway tbh, but idk I'm just talking out of my ass - maybe the sensors don't go bad over time. Either way, that car is totaled, maybe i'll part it out or something.
