LOL its hard for someone to step into a game that was ripped apart from its original design and still old as hell and then get into it.

I was hoping the gameplay would be similar to the original fear which would definitely keep me entertained now that that game is dead.

But yeah completely lost. It doesn't tell u at all when your going to spawn. All i can do is spectate until the round ends and when the next round started after i selected what i wanted i still couldn't spawn for like a minute. Then I cant tell the difference in all the freaks running around and die because i missed the one guy who wasn't a friendly.

cs is a mod from half life lol... that how the rounds are, you respawn at the end of the round, you can also find deathmatch servers if you search for them.
 
Yah if you were playing CS expecting a FEAR experience....you're nuts lol.
 
Yeah but why after the next round starts and ive selected my side im still spectating people already spawned in and still not spawned even though the round is new? I only played 2 rounds and the spawn without warning system made no sense. The round ended a new round began and i didnt spawn when some people did. I know what it is but it was also rebuilt on the source engine later and theyre are still changes being made.

Sounds like you were doin something wrong or you were in a modded server. There is nothing random about the spawn system in CS. It's based on rounds. When you die, you don't spawn again until the end of the beginning of the new round.
And CS:S wasn't "rebuilt" around the source engine. It was created, ground up, inside source. The original CS was a mode created by some fans in the half life engine. CS:S was made by Valve themselves. And the changes being made arent because it's somehow broken or unfinished. Valve constantly improves all of their products, and pays special attention to the most popular of their games.
 
Yeah the map i was on was assumed custom so must be some gay shit with mod servers. Ill mess with it eventually but i bought other games this round and im not playing those either. Got back into Saints Row 2 lol.
