SW:TOR - Free to play?

I personally loved SW:TOR, but paying $15/month lines CEO pockets... I didn't make it to the endgame, but I know a lot of people left because of the lack in content. I would pick it back up if the rumors are true and it does go free-to-play.

What do you guys and gals think? Should SW:TOR go free-to-play or not?
 
I checked out one of the free weekends they had and I really liked the game. I just can't see paying a monthly subscription for any game. So yes If it goes free to play I would absolutely play.
 
i have been playing it sence Beta :) Server fatman , toon Qasim ,guild EGO Elite Gamers Online http://-ego-.enjin.com/home I am founder of EGO we started in SWG 2003 now moved to SWTOR .
I dont think it will ever go free to play , they talked about that for 7 years in SWG . SWTOR is a great game if you like MMO's
 
Have 2 endgame chars, one char. 1 level from cap. If they go F2P, then it would be the downfall of this game, and my time with it and money would have been wasted!

Honestly, leveling up your char. is the most enjoyable thing in this game. Story, despite what alot of people would have you think, isn't all that great. Kinda shit really. Oh the choices you make.... don't mean shit. Technically they're not choices, just problems to around. You had more meaningful "choices" in KOTOR. Once you get to end-game, raiding is probably the only fun you'll have. Grinding for gear is annoying and outdated as fuck, LFG, before the server transfers and 1.3 is a joke as well.

Had a 6 month sub on this game, and honesty I'm glad I'm at the end of it. Not coming back to this game in a LOOOOONG time! Once 1.3 or the new level-cap and planet arrives, after 2013 I may come back to level up again.

Sounds like your experience with SWTOR wasn't all that great. That truly does suck. I didn't get very high level, can't even remember what level I was. Just remember my character was a chick with a nice ass to look at while I played. I didn't mind the story you had to go through so much, yeah, parts of it were stupid but it didn't bother me. I thought the game was fun, especially being evil.
