then save it with the name fakevirus.exe

If this file got deleted immediately ....that means your antivirus is working.

I hate that second option Tartu. There needs to be a clear option for intelligent people.

I have a executable that is a package stripper that is actually from an anti virus that I use when decompiling applications but anti virus software freak out and I have to jump through hoops to put it on a whitelist. If I want you to ignore a threat don't try to prevent me from accessing it.
 
Hmm weird. I scanned the folder it was in AND the file directly.

oh yeah, it was so annoying back when we were mad pirates in this country and every game needed keygens, we bought ESET antivirus for the whole family because AVG doesnt let you open keygens :D:D
 
Heh yeah another one was I downloaded that Havij tool the guy was saying someone could rock our site with. A week later windows defender deleted it. I no longer run an anti virus at all but defender if not disabled does provide some basic protection.

Its a fucking hack tool Microsoft its not a danger to my PC its a danger to someone else's lol.
