Thanks Rain

Its what I am here for :p Gaming took up all my coding and web development time. Now I do a little of both.

As far as the Hurricane on NY goes. If it wasn't for CoD4 I would have just had FAST, or FAST could have just, moved the server to Chicago well before the fuel ran out. CoD4 is what keeps us tied down to that IP. The TS could have just been swapped back to the old NFO rental for a few days since its still there or had we not switched yet it wouldn't have been a worry.

In the end the main thing was procon, with no backup we would have no admins setup. With a backup any of us could have run it from our home PC for a day. But since I backed everything straight to my web server and it was already setup for Teamspeak 3 thats how I rolled it. We also have the NS2 server to fall back on but Cotton was working on it at the time and it wasn't setup for TS3. CoD 4 was just going to be down until they came back up.

NFO did the best they could relaying info, but there was not much else they could do. Had we not had the resources and NY been down longer they would have provided us with a backup server. Internap was only down 15 hours but I waited it out an extra day on moving back. Their data center is a building that was built in 1929. They had to comply with building codes and the design of the building. There was not much they could do to stop the flooding. But I think they will be better prepared next time.
