Here we have an image of RimGreaper5000 in his days of youth, during a regular patrol in a Russian tank.

I've never seen Red Dawn... and those landings looked kinda rough lol. I hope the ppl inside didn't break anything :-D

LOL... doesn't that leave opportunity for someone on the ground to run up to the tanks and steal them? That'd be quite funny...

YAY a question involving my core job. No people don't jump with machines. #1 reason there's no reserve chute on a platforn so if the tank falls so do you. People jump right after like 5-10 A/C dropping vehicles and pallets and then 4-5 dropping people right after it. Most of the time there have been SOTF guys already in the DZ (Drop Zone) securing the area (killing) and our guys can land and drive the shit.

There are a few plans I know of with a Spooky/Spectre doing gunboat duties while the drop happens but I don't know of that plan ever being put to use.

HIGHWAY TO THE DANGER ZONE! Is what I sing while I float gently down before I face plant in dirt. Not that the last sentence matters but figured ya'll would like to know.

DeploymentKing, Always wanted to have you guys do a drop of our LAV-25s, thought it would be pretty bad ass. Best we did was have you folks divert lots of a/c on the east coast and get us to Panama in less than 10 hours (Solid Shield was going on at the time, so lots of available a/c). We did our first patrol less than 12 hours of getting called out of the rack in the middle of the night. Freakin Awesome! Took the army's Light Infantry from Ft. Polk 4 days to show up.
