The Pentagon Can't Keep Track of Ammo. So It's Destroying $1B in Bullets

wooow....here is an idea...sell it to the people!

tax the shit out of it and make some money

at least make their money back, otherwise its just wasted money we (yet again) toss down the drain.

The ammo is past its "expiration date" and if the Government were to sell it, the cost of them doing that would be fucking outrageous. If it costs you 5 dollars to do it it costs the government 10.

fuck that. issue it out for training and shit! Lots of motherfuckers like to shoot stuff and blow things up!

Oh I agree if they kept it in the right conditions its fine. You could have the largest mad minute in history.

This is nothing more than the current administration making another strong effort to crash the second amendment. This is the third major action they have taken against ammunition. First the DHS put in a requisition for billions of rounds of ammo that it will never use to crash the civilian sector ammunition market, then the EPA forced the closure of the nation's last lead production facility for ammunition we high will ultimately force a transition to a material that is substantially more expensive than lead and more damaging to the firearms that use them. This latest fiasco will result in another multi billion round acquisition of ammunition that will further damage the civilian side market. I guess if you can't repeal the second you can weaponize the machinery of government to destroy it through the back door. It's certainly in keeping with the traditions developed over the past 6 years.

And only two more years to go Wohoo! Or, more correctly, one year and 6 months but who's counting?
