That title itself is literally as old as the news that Pontiac was shutting down. Was a complete rumor to begin with and GM went back and forth considering and denying. With the Crown Vic in the last of production for fleet sales Chevy realized they had an opportunity they should not pass up.

The G8 IS back in the US as a Chevy just not for public sale.

Stampings have been stretched a bit and its a bit heavier but she does the job. If it wasn't for its police use they probably wouldn't have changed it so much.

Its almost perfectly identical to the G8 and when you outperform every car in your price range I guess you don't have to look all that pretty.
