I shared this last night with some of the guys. If you want a better sound experience in game. I would switch the sound setting from HiFi (which is default) to War Tape. This is located in your in game options under sound. After you select it. I would turn down your sound in the beginning because you will need to adjust to the whole new experience. You will now here foot steps and people walking through the brush behind you. Depending on you sound card or if you have one.

Holy Shit! If you do this hold on to your ear drums because this amplifies the sound like the nine living hells. I can't say it made my in game sounds any better or clearer, but then again I have a very nice PCIE sound card-but it sure as shit made it louder than hell!

If definetly added some realism to the game, but how ever it is a trade off. With this setting I noticed I lagged a little more and my bullets had some added latency. If you are on a lower end system like me, it might not be beneficial to an extent. I really only noticed the system performance decrease when there was 4+ guys going at it.

If you have the system resources to support it, it is a must have tweak.

Yeah, I never noticed what you're talking about with lag but I can see where some systems would be slowed a little by this step. Still, great find!

Hmmmm... Blame my K/D on the person behind me in the bushes or blame it on the lag? Tough choice for me.

Great tip, Sid. Thanks!
