Disabling the paging file can lead to some undesirable effects, like programs running out of memory errors ^_^ , so I don't think I can recommend it.

Turning off AO for weak GPUs is like common sense.

Replacing the DLL makes me sad. If the newer DLL works faster and gives no problems, dx/MSoft should just do it by default -_- . WTF?! I blame Steve Ballmer (the monkey boy).

Buy more RAM, then disable page file. 8GB or more should be plenty and is easily obtainable in any DDR3 computer. While you're at it, go for 12GB or 16GB total.

Buy more RAM & see if it does the job by itself before you disable paging. Probably will and you'll save yourself a headache later.
