Tom Clancy dies after illness

Fuck that, I'd rather have Vince Flynn still with us than Nancy Clancy. Seriously, it's too bad he's gone but I do think Flynn was a much better author in that genre.
 
I just finished re-re-re-re-reading the Cardinal of the Kremlin. Great book. and Red Storm Rising is simply awesome.
 
Shouldn't have any effect on games and books coming out with his name on them unless he made sure they stopped. Seriously how many of his books were recently written by him. As far as games go its not like he had much to do with them. Assuming deals with his estate are in place those will go on forever.

Met him once as a kid my grand father used to be a fan.

I had heard that he had a ghost writer for his last few but I have no idea how valid that is/was. The last book I read by him was Teeth of the Tiger, it was terribad. Anyway, my favorite books by him are Red Storm Rising, Without Remorse, and Debt of Honor, probably in that order.

I have 1300+ hours played in BF3 and that probably doesn't come close to the amount of time I played Rainbow 6, Eagle Watch, Rogue Spear, Urban Operations. Just a fantastic series of games.
