Trying a neat little trick I was thinking of putting in the new theme.

Sometimes when someone has a short post but a ton of profile information, the user info causes the post to be higher than it needs to be.

So enter this little trick:
userinfo.gif

Does require a modern browser. IE10, Chrome 26, Firefox 16

Let me know if we love it or hate it. It will likely be "optional" with one or the other being primary. On tablet's clicking on the user banner such as "Admin" will bring the info down.

But this would allow placing more things in the postbit, larger banners, larger online thing etc and still reducing the height of posts.

It is slick but question is who will know that there is a dropdown to expand? If I was an outsider I wouldn't know that existed unless we can display a + button?

I think it's a hover, right rain?

if you were an outsider and wanted to know about a member, you would move your mouse to that persons avatar/name maybe?

Looks alright, I like it, it makes it look like there is something there with that bar under the name too.

When you hover over "Home" and "Forum" tabs top left though I hate how they don't disappear after sometimes having to double click is annoying.

Nice! I see its live on the site now. Looks great!

Age/sex/location/join date/profession/post count... I'm struggling to imagine a situation where any of those might save the day.
Especially when some people tend to thrive on giving out misinformation intentionally.

Fixed back to how it was in 1.3. I have to manually edit this fix in each version. As soon as I learn how to override an existing class in javascript I will be able to make a permanent addon for Xenforo. The disappearing part also needs to be worked on.

Basically Xenforo wasn't designed to have drop downs without the use of tiny little arrows you have to hover over. Removed the arrows so we could have menu's for links. But this causes the whole delayed drop down double click effect. So I edit out the delay. Xenforo has no mechanism for the menu to go away though without clicking somewhere on the page. So I did add a line of code to make accidental drop downs disappear but it needs serious work.
