I am looking for something that is better than windows movie maker but not going to cost an arm and a leg. I've got about 300 hours worth of footage that I want to pull apart and only use pieces of it but windows movie maker doesn't do it efficiently. I've heard of people using adobe premier but that shit is expensive.

What do you peeps recommend?

I typically use Sony Movie Studio which is the consumer version of Vegas. Can find the platinum versions cheaper online like 70 bucks maybe. I prefer 12 to the new 13 but mainly because they dumbed the interface a little. It's very very powerful.

Can rent Adobe Premiere for 20 a month tho if your not opposed to spending 240 a year on a piece of software that probably cost 600 a version.

I agree with rain. He told me about it. Did the trial, sold. I think I managed to catch mine on a sale or some shit. payed 60 for mine. It is awesome once you figure the gist of things and set up hotkeys.
