Please Vote if we should try and make another Naval Strike Server work!
 
Real question is: What server do we take down to replace with a Naval Strike only server.
Remember, as much as it may be fun for you (and me), TBG has a goal to keep servers populated, and this means adapting on the fly, to what the playerbase wants...up to a point.

It's a pseudo-democracy/free market environment...that can be overturned by FAST at any moment.
Kind of like the United States Electoral College.
Sometimes we cater to the masses (like LOCKERS ONLY), other times we Strategically fill a void (Infantry Only) to corner the market.

I think it's too late in the BF4 lifecycle, to change any of our servers.
We all eagerly await BF1, and nVidia's 1070-1080 vid cards. And we silently expect EA to 'ruin' another BF game...yet know we will buy it anyway, because we all know,
whether the game sucks or not at launch, it will suck equally for everybody, so the only TRUE variable is...'is there an ADMIN around to kick this player?'
 
This something that can be a dual purpose server with map voting like "All Maps"? Maybe combine Air/Naval Strike Server with a vote option...just a thought.
 
BF1 doesn't come out until October 23rd and alot of us are trying to finish all our assignments. I know for me, Naval Strike assignments are the only ones i haven't finished.

People who like tactical play/conquest we should run either both conquest/carrier assault or straight Carrier assault. Carrier assault is Rush/conquest all in one game type. It is very tuff to coordinate a attack on the other teams carrier and set the 2 mcoms. It makes you have to use team work or you will end up losing.

This is supposed to be a trial, we have members who just want to try and get it going. If we have a server that is empty most of the time, lets try this and see if it sticks. I know i will stay in the server until it gets going.

Another thing some are forgetting is the horrible launch of BF4. If there is anything like it was in BF1, I will be playing BF4 until they fix the issues. It was near impossible to play BF4 when it first came out. BF4's shelf life has a lot more time and there are some people who are finding out there are more maps than just the Vanilla maps and how much fun they are.
 
Hardcore conquest is the worst populated server. It's the logical choice. You don't want to take airmaps which runs all vanilla maps and is very popular and then ruin the pop by adding ns maps. My 2 cents is no matter what the server won't fare well as it is very late in the game. We can try but I'm not optimistic.


Edit I'm glad my phone decides what I want to type instead of.just letting me type.

Before i cast a vote im going to discuss this with some other admins that have been with TBG alot longer than myself They know how to run the servers and what maps work ,
there should of been a undecided button to press
 
I agree, Hardcore hasnt been the strongest lately. And a good NS server is hard to find. I would be willing to give it a try and see what happens
 
Hardcore still empty today therefore i will be switching to naval giving that a try. Also I set official to allow matchmaking which means we cannot change any settings but a way to build traffic first
 
very cool, i am trying to search for it on the BL server browser and not finding it yet?
 
NM i found it but it is still showing as hardcore... i guess you are changing the settings
