We've got one now... UK receives first F-35

It will be very exciting for pilots to fly, but will be a nightmare for the maintainers, who keep it flying.

They will replace the Harrier nicely for your carriers with their awesome motocross ramps. I never cared for the Harriers, so damn loud.

The Invincibles are gone for good; we're waiting for the Queen Elizabeth class (proper carriers) to be finished. Keeping the ski-jump because it's so fucking awesome, and it lets the planes get off the deck with an extra half hour's worth of fuel.

they aren't due into service until 2014 or 2015? What's the fucking wait!! I want to see them bitches above my house at the Farnbrough air show!! Hahah

The government have already wasted 2.1 billion pounds on changing their minds between having bungees on the carrier or vertical take off and the ramp...

Absolute fucking joke

IIRC they were going to use the magnetic catapult being designed for US carriers.
