This is just that. I am hopefully in the next month going to buy a new monitor. I currently have a 27 inch so I don't want to go smaller. I am looking at a 144hz monitor to help with gaming. I mostly game but also do photo editing on my computer.

I think I want to stay with a 1080p monitor mostly because I only have 780 Classified SLI 3 GB vram cards and will not be upgrading my cards. I enjoy maxing out my games as much as possible so I figured 1080p is a sweet spot with my current setup. I currently have an ASUS 27in 60hz monitor. I have loved the ASUS brand.

Just looking for peoples input on which one do you suggest I get? Either one of the ones I list below or suggest something else. I am open to any input. Thanks!!

Also looking to stay in this $400 price range, unless convinced otherwise.

I currently have a 3D capable monitor and it got old fairly quickly. I also had one of the first gen NVidia 3D Vision kits. I always had this weird issue with the shuttering of the glasses going slightly off step sometimes. Next major system upgrade I've decided will be 4K, unless some crazy game comes out and requires me to upgrade between now and then. Sounds like your video cards will hold up for quite a while. The main thing I would look for is something with Nvidia GSync.

I initially suggested the Asus, because of my experience with their products. After doing some research I would go with the BenQ.

@Samoedaddy see updated post.

To be honest I am not really interested in the 3D aspect. Mostly the refresh rate for smoother gameplay. I thought of gsync bit dont know much about it other than it cost more.

Any of them would do well, and there's a small margin of performance difference at 144hz for them but from the reviews I've read they rank as
  1. BenQ
  2. AOC
  3. Asus

I have the benq Free sync monitor 27 in and I am very pleased with it. Very high quality, great color, and no screen tearing
