Why is my battlefield bad company 2 so laggy

i just bought BFBC2 and it is incredibly laggy, like it has a 4-5 second delay, why is this. i checked the (requirements) and they all meet.

there are some drivers for nvidia that are optimized for bfbc2 - i have to go on my home pc since im posting from work to find out the driver version i have. I know i updated my nvidia drivers to the latest and it made my game super laggy. do some googling and im sure you'll find the problem.

nvm turns out my video card is shit...i need a new one

The minimum spec as usual is horseshit. A dual core cpu wont cut it unless its an i3. Bare minimum is a core 2 duo overclocked as far as possible. @3ghz its fine until or unless something else is running punkbuster is what tends to ruin my day. Video card u can skimp a little my laptops 9800M has only 64 cuda cores and at 1366x768 can push 60 fps on high when the cpu isnt being the problem. Mind you dx11 cards need more power for any given situation.
