Need a new video card

I just found out i need a new video card to play BC2, Does anyone have a video card that will definitely run BC2 and BC3 for sure that they want to sell??
 
im about to buy one next month - newegg has some good prices - right now im rocking the gtx 260 216 core - OC'ed it just a tiny bit - i get 100+ fps - no slow down - no lag - on my machine - everything on low though =p - the game still looks and acts great regardless of the graphis being turned down.

for BFBC2 Id say anything gtx 260 and above

for BFBC3 Id say gtx 560 and above... help me out alpha players?
 
how much is that, will it cost me a arm and a leg.
 
soulz what about the 560 TI - the TI series i have not researched those cards...they sound like bang for your buck cards? or are those cards simply for people who want some kind of tessalation on there dx11 games without the other bells and whistles? =p
 
If your are on a budget, try a Sapphire Radeon 5670. I have it, it runs BC2 maxed no issues, and can handle BF3. For a little bit more $$$ past that, you can get the 5770, 6670, and 6570. Of course, if you don't really have a budget, certainly go with what the others suggested.

Could get a power hungry 460 which is the same but clocked lower for around 150. Either way your going to need around 175 watts extra to power one of these cards so a psu upgrade for some people is in order.

Worth noting the difference between a 560 and 560 Ti is 48 shaders out of the 384 the Ti has.
 
9500 is less powerful than my laptop. If a gpu that needs a decent power supply is out of the question there should be some offerings in the 100 dollar range better than the 9600 but ill have to look when i get home.
 
Quick search on my phone. For nvidia the GT440 is 80 bucks and should pwn the 9500 GT overall. The memory interface is worrying but still carries 96 streaming cores versus 64 in the 9600. Worth looking at some game benches but in dx10 it should be worthwhile and gives you the option of 11. Depends on the games ram usage but id seriously look into it over the 9600. Edit - hands down over the 9500 GT which only has 32 streaming processors half what i have in my damn laptop.
 
Alright Slapshotz I have gotten home and have based on newegg's stock picked out everything. Going with the budget of 100 bucks and the best cards you can get for 100 bucks. The only thing from ATi/AMD is the 5670/6670 according to Vengeance works for him its weak in Crysis thats for sure.

First off SCREW the 9500 GT, sorry chivo but anything worse than my laptops GPU is shit. Unfortunately the only 9600 GT newegg has is a recertified with a 90 day warranty but the good news is its only 40 bucks. But it also needs a 6 pin power connector... The main thing it has going for it is memory interface but its 64 streaming processors will hamper it somewhere.

Everything chosen below was $100 or less, on newegg, draws power from motherboard except for the noted card.

200 Series nvidia
Alright lagging behind the 9600 GT but still beating the 9500 GT is the GT 220. If your going for CHEAP here is the ticket but id personally regret it.

A winner for cheap and less regrettable if I ever saw one is the GT 240. Faster and more cores than the 9600 GT the only question here is pay for the ram or dont!

The next to best 200 series is the GTX 260 featuring twice as many cores as the GT 240 and 4 times as many as the 9600 GT. Good card if you wanna spend a few bucks.

This card is power hungry needs a decent power supply and probably out of the question.

400 series nvidia (DirectX 11 cards)
The GT 430 is out of the question with a 64 bit memory interface leaves me with the GT 440. Same core count as the GT 240 but faster and directx11 capable. It will need the extra speed if your running a dx11 game so good thing its clocked faster.

That 512MB GT 240 might be worth cheaping out on if Bad Company 2 doesnt need the ram (I never looked at what it uses in DirectX 10 mode). It would straight beat the fuck out of the 9500 GT. For a little more you can get the 1GB version and not have to worry about ram in any game it can play.

It or the GT 440 which gives you DX11. Will definitly play Bad Company 2 if your processor is up to it. But if its some Dual core under 3 Ghz my view is you have bigger problems anyways. Unless its an i3.

EDIT - I checked playing BFBC2 Vietnam in directx 10 I have yet to see over 290MB used.

Those are not the recommended nor minimum for Bad Company 2.... Not at freaking all. We established he wont spend 200+ bucks so BF3 is out of the question.

Off the box itself. Minimum Pentium D 3.0 Ghz, Core 2 Duo 2.0 Ghz, Athlon X2 or faster. 7800 GT/ATi X1900.
Recommended Quadcore @ 2.0 Ghz GTX 260 / Ati 4870.
 
if you save or put away $6 dollars a day you could have a GTX 580 by release date Oct. 25th. Usually, you get what you pay for. I don't think I would enjoy mediocre graphics & wondering why I'm getting owned because everybody is 100 fames in front of you.
