I recently RMA'd my EVGA GTX580 and was playing this morning with Silent and my game goes black.
Restart, nothing, just a black screen and fans spinning.
Plug the monitor into the motherboards port and it works.
Went to try and update my driver's and it says "Could not find compatible graphics hardware."

Suggestions?

Edit: I put in a 560 and the computer boots fine again.

maybe 3rd times a charm. does the 580 run real hot? i think my case circulates well, but can't figure why my 560 lasts and the 580's die.

it wasn't, the discreet gfx and another card worked.
I may try and put it back in and see if it was just glitchy?

I've never had a card die, and you've had two in a short period of time? That's more than weird...

yea, i've never had a card die until these 580's. My 560 is plenty old and never an issue.

This happened to me and it turned out to be the slot on my mother board for the graphics card was damaged. try moving it to your second slot (Considering you have one) and run it.
