I built a new PC for my wife today and have some hardware now that we don't need. If anybody's interested, let me know. Here's a list:

Shit if u had the ram a week ago I would have been interested for that 775 machine I got. It seems to have a random hanging issue (weve always suspected this machine had a bad PSU since it killed 2 hard drives).

I guess technically the PSU might still be of interest is it used and by that I mean well tested lol. It doesnt seem to be your favorite brand. Ill take the CPU if your giving it away lol not sure if it will work in this board but if i get the machine squared away it would be a slight upgrade.

What do you want for the RAM or mobo?
Shit, make me an offer. I'm easy :)

Rain, this PSU only has 4 SATA connectors and 2 PCIE 6 pin connectors. It's almost 5 years old and I originally got it when my Seasonic 600w burned out, but I replaced that with a PC Power & Cooling 750w after a couple of months. It sat around for about a year and has been in my wife's office PC since then doing minimal duty running her PC for office work.

Still, it is quiet and reliable. If you can use it let me know and we'll work something out.

Alright I will PM you it might turn this possibly unusable 775 into a usable machine for someone. I was gonna use it as a file server/second PC until i finish my build but anytime i startup IE or 3DMark06 it turns to absolute shit. I just ordered some 4 pin molex to sata adapters prior to finding out i might have an issue with the machine.

If anyone else thinks they can use it please step up as it wont be a little bit before i get paid again.

Alright. How'd the system overclock with the Wolfdale?

Don't know, it was my wife's work computer and I don't do any of that to her PC. She needs simplicity and reliability for hers so I never did OC that CPU or any CPU on that MB. It's strictly done stock duty as an office work horse.

Her Win XP disc was corrupted and failing, SATA II HD, and she was putting off upgrading because she didn't want to take the time to reinstall everything but since the HD took a dump, and she had no backup images (sigh) it was a perfect opportunity. BTW-she's up there copying and burning a disk image now of her Win7 disk :)

Meh if the board supports overclocking it will probably come down to the ram assuming its a good chipset. Sama that 2.8 should hit 3.5+ Ghz no problems. Anymore would be a stretch on bus clocking.

I know how my Wolfdale clocks, Rain. It gets 3.8GHz easily. I was just curious if he had clocked on it before. In the worst case scenario, I'll try a BSEL mod.

EDIT: Looks like the average board clocks fine. Should be plenty for a Wolfdale so I'm looking forward to giving it a try. I can finally upgrade my main to 8GB and drop 2GB into the X3210 box (and move the 2x512 kit to the Wolfdale box).

BTW, shipping estimate to 02908?
