Are these slow motion videos using some sort of frame interpolation?

Really heavy in this video I see some sort of frame to frame distortion.
<object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/wRmzHwJqxAo?version=3&feature=player_detailpage"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/wRmzHwJqxAo?version=3&feature=player_detailpage" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="360"></object>

Anyone familiar with whats being used? Normally when I go to do something like this I will record at 90 FPS that way I can go down to 1/3 speed without losing any fluidity at all. But the effect is just really weird here and I had to assume some sort of adaptive interpolation to make up for the lack of frames is being used.

I see the effect here as well:
<object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/2LenqYFkxjo?version=3&feature=player_detailpage"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/2LenqYFkxjo?version=3&feature=player_detailpage" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="360"></object>

in adobe premier you can adjust the speed to what ever you want, be it faster or slower and speed rate.

Very well aware of thst but the same menu gives no frame options. Normally a lack of frames equals frame duplication with no movement interpolation. Take 30 fps video slow it down to 50 percent its 15 fps but the frames are doubled back to 30 or whatever the project rate is.

That assumes your not encoding with frame blending which produces more of a ghosting effect.

These videos have a distorted swirly motion blend of some sort.

Alright so here is a little low quality sample. 90 FPS video shoved down to 30 and 15 fps in Adobe Premiere.

<object style="height: 390px; width: 640px"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/VDoplPI-iGA?version=3&feature=player_detailpage"><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/VDoplPI-iGA?version=3&feature=player_detailpage" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowfullscreen="true" allowScriptAccess="always" width="640" height="360"></object>

At 15 you can see the lack of frames, blending would help a little but at some loss to other things.

But you dont see the effect used in the other videos. One of the things used in the first video is stepping the speed for certain sections. Slow while waiting for the knife, quick for the swing etc. Nothing to do with the topic though.
