Seed was trying to get me to do this the last time I built a comp. I know it works and it should not give you any problems, but its just the thought of submerging all that equipment in fluid. I do think it has to be hard on the fans though. That much pressure that they were not designed for.
 
It works, but not very well for 24/7 stress I think (like Boinc projects). The temperature slowly rises more and more and more... it's slow, but it gets up there I think.
 
they remove the fans and its dead silent and remains cool. It is one of the best ways to cool silently. Although its messy as hell to fix or repair anything. they did an article on this in maximum pc. they use a modified liquid (oil) cooler/radiator/fan combo.
 
On the one I've seen, there was no fan. They just dumped everything in the mineral oil or whatever.
