Hello guys,i have a problem with Bad Comany 2
everytime i log in to your rush hardcore server
my ping increases from : 499 up to 799
is there something you guys would recomand that i do to make that go away
my avrage ping should be there about 80,if this server is from north america
any suggestions,please tell me what it is,cant figure this out,and of course im
so new on that game so i dont know where its coming from

my comp info
Video card 512 mg E-GT 8600 process 13x
ram 4 gig
internet speed up to 5mg per second up load and download
win 7

Does it come down of you stay on for afew. Mine is very high for first 30 seconds or so
 
no it won't stays the same,ut i can tell its the internet issue,couse when i try to run im still on same spot,then all of the sudden im dead knifed by someone lol.
 
Did you try another server could be bad routing to are server. Our servers are in new York I believe
 
find cmd.exe on your computer.

type in "ping 64.120.28.66 -n 50" without the quotes that should give you an accurate ping

also you can type "tracert 64.120.28.66 -n 50" without the quotes and see what you get. It will tell you what your routing is to our servers. BUt if you play fine in Bf2 then it must be something else.

Also remember that BC2 does not give accurate ping reading. Mine is close to 100 when it should be 25
 
i did as told and thats my results ping is normal but why the hell is going slow motion

did you update to your latest video drivers? What are your computer specs?

What do you mean slow motion?

If somehow you could post a video that would be very helpful.
 
no i havent updated them yet maybe thats what the problem is,

i think that is the problem. Not positive but fairly certain. Dual core probably not strong enough to run BC2. What type of Dual core is it? Also the video card looks like a bit outdated.
 
Try lower settings in the options menu, lower resolution as well. Also edit the settings.ini file to run DX 9 instead of Auto. Sound is a major factor in BC2 as well. What are your sound specs and what are the sound settings.
 
ok heres the right spec for that its actuelly pentium 4 not even dual core
Intel (R) Premium 4 CPU 2.80GHZ

nice, it should play much better now. But you may need to up your computer for BF3.
 
Good to hear. I would take a look at what I wrote earlier to help get even better FPS in game. Sacrifice some visual and audible effects for better FPS.
 
guys its little better but still slow,i think its time for me to built a new pc,but i am going to wait till the new bf3 comes then ill get a pimpin pc
so im going to just stick on bf2
if any of you guys want to use an extra key for bAD COMPANY 2 ILL GIVE YOU THIS ONE FOR FREE
 
Your real problem is that you do not meet the recommended specs for the game. They call for at least a core 2 duo 6850 and gtx 9800 combo. I would agree with Bob that turning everything down to lowest settings is your best bet, then check out your frame rate at those settings and see what you are running. With BF3 and others around the corner, it may be time to give yourself a present (like a new computer).
