Alright so heres the last effort before I freak out and burn this computer.

So heres my dilemma and I experience this on a weekly basis.
Randomly I lose my display to my monitor. I noticed it happens mostly when Im playing BF4 but now today Im just watching youtube and I switch over to ts and the screen goes black. Only way to get display back is restarting the computer. I have to restart using power button and the last time I did it failed 3 times then finally got display.
Its not the GPU because Ive tested in both rigs.

Can anyone suggest anything?

Edit: went all day playing Diablo 3 and no issues then I start browsing the interwebs and boom black screen.

How is it connected, DVI or HDMI? Try changing cable type connection.
Find another monitor to use and see if problem goes away.
Make sure all components are seated correctly.
Are you using monitor at it's native resolution?
Check the Window's power settings.
Could be video card driver.
Monitor could be dying.

Computer specs?

could be the MOBO. I had an issue a few years ago where my screen video would randomly crash with an error. Drove me nuts and I pretty much swapped everything out and then got a good level 2 tech at EVGA and he RMA's it. You could try to run Prime or something to stress the machine and hopefully catch an error either in the event logs or in a memory dump. I am pretty good at reading most memory dumps if you can get one.

my last computer was doing this. but all i had to do was unplug the HDMI and plug back in. it didnt start till i started using the HDMI and only the HDMI. ya i solved it i got a another computer.

Monitor is native res and I hope its not dying it was a expensive SOB. Ill test a new monitor next.
