Well heres the story to this one. Ive been having a couple issues with my 09 Jetta TDI. in the past month ive spent $1,400 in repairs and $1,000 on new tires. Warranty just ran out 1600miles ago. So the service manager asked me if i wanted to see what the extended warranties run. They could only give me a 60k 4yr warranty for almost $5,000. Obviously not the best option. Then the business manager told me that they just had someone trade in a 2010 Jetta TDI with 15k miles on it and he could put me in that if i wanted to. I told him the only way i could do that would be to have my payments around the same as im doin now. He said he would cut me a deal because this will be my 4th car through them and my family is one of their best customers. Well they gave me $16,500 for my 09 jetta tdi. and put me in the 2010 for around 20,000. with extended warranty and everything worked into it. they got about 2500 in equity off my trade in and i put in about the same for a down payment.

Long story short. went in to pick up my car from service dept. Left with a nice shiny fairly new one.

Payments are a little bit higher but they gave me a pretty good deal. Sticker price for the one they put me in was $23,500. i got the car for around $18,000 before warranties. They dont really budge on the jetta tdi's because they will literally only stay on the lot for a few weeks before they are sold.

That's a nice car, I once had a 2005 TDI. Lots of fun, good MPG. Enjoy and congrats on the good deal.

ive had a 98 Jetta GL, 05 Jetta TDI, 09 Jetta TDI, and now 10 Jetta TDI. :D i like my jettas

Oh cool, so this is your third TDI. The only thing that bothered me was maintenance on the old ones cost a lot, but since they introduced 3 year no charge maintenance that's not an issue anymore.

Nice looking car, I hope that came with an anti-theft system. :)
I never owned a Volkswagen but I always hear good things about them from folks that do.

LOL shoulda just bought a lexus.. ISF IS350> VW

i work at a dealer ship the runs, adui, lexus, vw, toyota... out off all the cars ive driven at the those dealer ships, ISF takes them all next to the A5, which is like a IS 350, and if i wasnt going for a ISF id hit the Is 350 over a A5.

Nice...

I remeber those days, now I have a Dodge Grand Caravan LMAOF, Next time I will wrap it tight and save my self 17% per child. ALthough the Mini van is pretty nice, you wont turn as many heads, unless people are looking for a ride for their kids for Aikido classes.

As a truck driver I'm a HUGE fan of turbo diesels, but I have one big question. Does it run quiet or do you have to listen to diesel knock all day long? Great motors though, good mileage and gobs of power with fewer parts to break. To bad the new ULSD is so damn expensive, also does your Jetta have a regen system?

The car runs as quiet as a normal gas car except when its idling you can hear the knock but its not loud by an means. and yes it has a regen system.
