check disk on boot up

every time i boot i get prompted to start scan disk or check disk for errors. it takes forever to run all 5 tests and its getting old. i could press a key to skip it but i thought it needed to run.

i didnt schedule anything and i shut down properly. wtf is going on?

windows 7 ult. (legit) btw, 500gb sata Seagate
 
Press any key. You can get by without it.
 
Hey Roth. I am not sure about Win 7, but you could try this. It's from XP, but the file name should be the same for that. At least it was the same in all the versions of Windows I can think of (95, 98, 2000, XP.

Also, again I am not sure with Win 7, but you could run a selective start up if Win 7 allows it. (Start/run/msconfig.msc/startup)

I have win7 ult 64bit... and I've never seen it ask for a disk check.. ever. I have no idea.
 
sorry its been a while since i posted, been busy.

It wants to check disc for errors at every boot. im about to make an image and swap hdd's. maybe that will help.
