The U.S. bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that there will be more than two million new tech jobs by 2020. By then, students may not need $250,000 educations to get hired. At its launch in February, Udacity, an online service that offers computer, science, and business courses, had already enrolled 150,00 pupils. Students watch lectures, take automated quizzes, and receive certifications, which can be presented to employers. And they say its free.

Higher education has been a a gigantic swindle for a couple decades now, I remember back when Dear Leader promised to bring down the cost of higher education. Lol, those were the good old days.
 
My education cost ~$20000 for a master's degree (tuition and books) but I was smart and lucky :-D .

$250k is pretty insane if you ask me - even for top-tier schools and jobs with a high-pay prospect...
