CompTIA 901 Hardware Exam

Hey guys. So next week is my Hardware exam for A+. I am pretty confident that i will pass the test. But i was wondering if any of you techies out there have any pointers or advice you can give? I have been studying hard all term long. And i have access to Testout.com, but i always welcome another form of study. Let me know what you got!

I don't have any of the dumps, plus the exam changed since I got my cert, but there are pdf exam dumps with questions and answers. It helps at least to understand some of what's out there. Pass Leader.

Mine had a lot of laser printer questions on it but I just got lucky since those are easy.

I use CBT Nuggets for studying purposes. Always use gut instinct, don't second guess a question.

Other than that, don't over prepare :).
 
So a little update: Sadly i did not pass it. I missed it by two questions. Upon taking the test i realized there was a lot of things in there that we did not cover in our class course. I realized they were teaching us the 801 standard not the 901. (Not entirely the schools fault they are having issues with the book publisher.) So i am waiting to hear if the school will provide me with another voucher for the exam. If they don't however i do have an option to get the exam voucher for half off from Comptia's Academic Marketplace.

But i now know what to expect. And what areas i need to brush up on. Even though i failed it, i am taking it positively and a life experience. I hope to schedule it again very soon.

Keep at it man. I just missed my network+ exam the other week. Happens to be the stuff not covered in my materials. Sucks but just keep at it!
 
I got an update! So yesterday i did my 901 retake and passed it. And i also took my 902 las Tusday and passed that as well (I forgot i had the test till the night prior and crammed all night and into the morning.) So I now have my A+ Certification! Woot!!!

Quick question for those who have it. Do i get a card in the mail to show I'm certified? Thanks!
 
the problem with comptia I've always had was they teach the materials, but then the questions are designed to trip you up, but not in a real life experience way that would matter.

Yes you'll get a card in the mail. In the meantime you should be able to print off a certificate from their site and get your cert number, in case an employer asks for it.
