Custom Cable Sleeving

I've spent a good hour and a half watching various sleeving videos and I'm left with more questions! What sort of tools should i be looking for and from where could I get a decent set since it sounds like most of them break super easily? The second is what materials did you end up using? It sounds like there are 3-4 different kinds of material floating out there, but I can't say I'm thrilled with the idea of using plastic wrapping... too shiny and cheap I think.

I'll get the bulk of my remainder parts coming in Wed, including the PSU and I would love to be able to jump to it sooner than later so I can get this build going!

For real a pair of scissors and a 9 dollar heat gun from harbor freight. But some needle nose pliars, small screw drivers, something to poke about with all end up on the table at some point. I don't even remember what I bought the heat gun for but for 9 bucks if it ever breaks I got my use out of it a few dozen times. I never repinned anything I sleeved, though I didn't do a ton of individual wire work. I did change alot of connectors to black which has the same premise.

I've seen a lot of Lutro0s stuff, but 90% of whats out there seems to be from them... figured there would HAVE to be a second opinion or something somewhere but there doesn't seem to be a lot. Hell even nVidia's bit was done by them.

Honestly I found it easier to just buy instead of doing it myself. Not just the cost of supplies and equipment but if you dont do it correctly you potentially kill your computer. I found bitfenix makes some nice cables and corsair has custom cabling if you buy their psu.
