DICE: No plans for Battlefield 2143

Sweet, another reason to hate DICE. PC gaming went out the window when they release the pay to win business model, and conned everyone in buying premium for $60 for BF3.


2142 was awesome, but now it's time to move into bigger and better things: Planet Side 2 is pretty awesome. If you havent played it yet, I suggest trying out the beta.
 
Probably the only battlefield title i really enjoy. 2142.

Probably will do it eventually but first they got to fuck up with Battlefield 4 a bit, you know.

LOL Who was dumb enough to get conned? I was going to buy the expansion packs and I did its called premium. If you wanted the expansions there was no con involved I mean look at bob he did not buy it!

As far as 2143. EA has 99% control of what title DICE works on. If they say no 2143, then there is no 2143. EA likely has some eye set to compete with activision and doesn't think for whatever stupid reason that a futuristic shooter belongs in that plan. They would be wrong though. At this point your lucky they dont bring in a second studio and start shelling out yearly alternating titles.
 
Five years ago the FPS market was WWII all over. Right now it's modern warfare. Sci-fi will be back sooner or later, and 2143 with it.

I have noticed wal-mart has lowered the price of BF3 to 39.99 and now sells BF3 Premium for 59.99....... I will not buy the expansions. Soon you will be seeing free codes being posted and the premium now being sold at walmart will be disappearing faster than they can stock the shelves.

EA lowered the price its not walmart. BF3 Premium Edition is 60 bucks for the whole shebang game and all. The game is 39.99 from origin if for some reason you want to buy the vanilla game and not get the expansions or pay extra for them.

This is not Call of Duty the price doesn't stay the same for 10 years. You could get BC2 and Vietnam for 10 bucks on sale a little over year after it came out. I bought the initial game for 12 bucks. Premium is down to 50 but it needs to fall to at least 40 before the line up even makes sense again.

Battlefield 3 is a year old and will be 2 years old by BF4. Early adopters pay more and they cry when prices drop. But the only reason I do not buy CoD games is the price. I wont get to buy Starcraft until 2020 because the fckn thing is still 60 bucks lol.

Close Quarters is awesome and I am having more fun everyday in Armored Kill. Both of those are not everyones sort of game CQ is alot like TDM and AK is pretty slow going.

FUCK EA for charging $110 for BF3. I pre-ordered the Limited Eddtion for a reason, the LE should have stated "yo Joker if you buy this shit it's a limited edition for a limited time you can own the game and everything in it untill we release a bunch of new shit in the works for $10 more than what you originally paid for. Oh btw it's 60 bucks for the rest of the expansions that we havent released yet." Ridiculous.
 
The limited edition came with B2K and early I believe. What was included and that it included nothing further should have been pretty damn clear. BC2 Vietnam was not free you expect end game to be?

I dont remember but i think we did get conned on the physical warfare pack bonus items. Bonus items varied by country and stor though. What you did was prepay for B2K and early access at a 10 dollar discount as b2k was 20 at launch.

Other than maybe a couple of guns becoming available to people later rather than being exclusive i see no further cons or scams. I know what I paid for and i got it unless u want to discuss bugs.

I honestly wouldnt have bought BF3 until next year if I hadnt been with TBG. Being with TBG meant building a new pc and everything. Once you lose the "playing with friends on day one" aspect gaming is pretty cheap. Its expensive otherwise. Activision does the same thing with its studio's and well you have new reasons to hate EA recently. But bf2 had expansions that cost money and so does Call of Duty.
