Do you ever get the gas mileage stated on the car's sticker?

I used to get 41+ MPG in my old 2007 Corolla with stick-shift. Sure did. Plus...with the money saved up front when purchased...well I saved enough money to gas up a Prius for years. So in my book - Corolla beats Prius.

My gas mileage is directly dependent on wind direction. I can do 90-95 MPG but I can also do 30 MPG. The "perk" of having a tall car that's extremely light.

Nope. I get better. Cars rated for 16 town 28 hwy. I get 20 town and 35 hwy. That's with some modifications aka... removing the automatic transmission and having a manual installed. Basically the only thing stock in my car at this point is the chassis.

I think that the main point of the video is to show that people don't get the truth about car mileage.

There was a gas station back home that sold non ethanol gas. It was quite a bit more expensive. However getting a tank full of that made my car run like a dream. Amazing how terrible that blend is for your car

I get better than the sticker rated and I don't have a light foot on the gas. I've gotten the mileage listed on the sticker for the past two cars before that too.

I have that same year/model truck. I only average 13-14 mpg. Sticker said 20 mpg highway. Them lyin' bastards.

It has the biggest effect on older cars... especially on the old fuel lines not made for ethanol or ethanol blends.... can't even count how many fuel pumps i had to replace on 996 turbos due to that shit in the gas.... and the cost is so high because you and I all pay taxes which goes towards subsidizing the cost of the fuel when its blended.. only way to force us to use it... most gas stations that have non-ethanol its mainly for either boats or lawn equipment that's older that also cant handle the fuel with their fuel lines.

so given everyone's varied response.... what are we driving?

me 2006 VW Jetta TDI 140k miles and avg about 40 ish combined driving

40ish?! Nice.

I do miss the non-blended fuels as all fuel in AZ now comes with 10% ethanol to "reduce emissions" although it requires more fuel to go the same distance due to the lack of power it provides?

1989 LandCrusier 9mpg
2000 Camaro SS 19mpg
2004 Saturn Ion 29mpg
2015 Explorer 16mpg

My current car is a MB E280 estate, with a 3L petrol engine. In town, she needs about 15L petrol for a 100KM, on motorway 8L is enough. I have no problem with that.
