I read part of their dependence is "presales", and I remember when I prepaid for "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2". Then they decided, there would be no dedicated servers and was like wtf? It was the last game I ever prepaid for and now I always wait at least a month, before I buy it. I now prefer to read reviews and articles, where as I used to be with the crowd, who would buy anything.
Of course if it is the "Civilization Series", by Sid Meir, then yes I prepay for it. LOL
