The sickest flying machine ever built. Watch the whole thing, it gets better!

im no jet expert, but isnt that just changing the way the thursters are pointed? like that one jet that can take off by positing its thursters down and it will hover off the ground and then take off..

Thrust vectoring

I am not sure if there is anything there i hadn't seen before. I used to love the F22 growing up had just about every simulator with it on it or in it. Kinda lost all that later on. I always like the YF23 shape anyways, something different.

Very cool jet indeed though I was never happy with some of the changes they made.

Meh, russians been using thrust vectoring for years now on their Migs and Suchoi's, nothing new, in fact I was yawning watching that so called performance...:-)
Gearmans, back in WWII experimented with that shit on their V-2 rockets.

the russian t-50 has better aerodynamics and thrust vectoring than the f-22. and if what the russians say is true about taking being able to take a mig 21 and reduce it's radar sig to that of a goose is true than...

granted the T-50 is not in production yet

might also want to look at the J-20 that china is developing.

russia is no longer the threat it used to be, probably more of an ally, it is china you have to watch.
though they kinda own a lot of your national debt.

HAHAH what is this? A dick measuring contest on how much useless information yall can generate!!!:)

Cant anyone just be like WHOOOAAAA thats bad ass!!

This is a better version compared to the gun nerds in the CoD Modern Warfare story I posted a couple of days ago.

Thank god Obama decided to cancel the remainder of the F22 Raptor program, why would we want the most dominant air to air fighter jet in the history of the planet? It's just not fair to our enemies. Also got a chuckle out of the Russians thrust vectoring, they built such pieces of shit that when they pushed their top end fighters to the limit they required rebuilds before they could be flown again. The really cool thing I've seen the Raptor do at airshows that I haven't seen any other aircraft do is the super tight turns. They really are amazing aircraft, and Renno the Harrier is VSTOL, Vertical short take off and landing. They can rolling take off or go straight hover take off. They have a nozzle at each side of the fuselage and one at the tail. They are ear piercing loud mothers, still probably the single greatest contribution to combat aircraft the British ever made. Now, when the fuck is Canada gonna start kicking in some badass combat aircraft eh?

*Quick hijack* Dude, lets be real I want to thrust vector your anus. Directed at anyone in this case, you know how I roll.

CF-18 are the primary ones for now.Government wants to phase CF-18 rather quickly in the future since they are trying to strike a deal with JSF builder Lockheed Martin Canada building futuristic jets Year 2014 or something

Now that's funny shit, so does that mean the Haitians are gonna start building the HF18's? Or the Israelis are gonna start building the IF18's? The F18 is starting to get a little long in the tooth, they have been around for decades now. I think they keep using them because they fit nicely on a carrier.

cf-18 is american built i think. and the super hornets (canada does not have them) are fucking sweet

The 22 would be badass if, you know, the entire fleet wasn't still grounded and all since March: http://defensetech.org/2011/05/06/f-22-fleet-grounded-indefinitely/

New planes are always junk, Chairforce-wise anyway. I went through it with the F15E and hell, the BONE still takes 4 spare aircraft to make one sortie downrnange. 22 is no different. It's badass when it can fly, sure, but won't be able to do so reliably for awhile. Can't speak for any other service. And oh Lord in Heaven, you should talk to people about what a POS (specifically crew chiefs and avionics nerds) the Osprey is.

Sorry for the rant :(

F23 FTW :)

We export a ton of shit to you not Haitians or Israel. Therefore if we want something in return we have no problem getting it. Last Oil Spill. It was our machinery that helped remove the oil from the Gulf (granted there will always be oil present in the water for many years)

Also keep in mind about your APCs. LAV III and LAV 25 originated in Canada yet the U.S uses it (U.S calls it IAV Stryker for LAVIII i believe) (In Afghanistan today). Your point? Anyway, that was a futile comment to point out.
