So I traded vehicles as part of a plan to remain unseen for awhile. A plan that was over the day our theme got stolen.

Well after a good sprint the motor started leaking coolant from multiple places on the block.

If you look closely on the top end you can see it spewing from the tstat housing.

Leak out the back side of the motor from god knows where.

The rear leak happens motor off and as fast as i can fill the res. It seems too fast at the peak to be from the head gasket. Could be lower intake. Either way its not finding its way into the cylinders. The thermostat housing is only leaking with the motor running. Hooray.

What year is this.

I just bought a ford fusion 2014 2 days ago still waiting to hear back from them for a tuxedo black color

Could be the tube that takes the coolant to the engine bursted. I took off my thermostat completely in the summer anyway as your u don't really need but the winter

Upper and lower rad hoses are fine as well as the overflow and whatever they want to call the fill hose since this has no cap it fills off the res, also fine. Hoses to the heater on the housing look fine. The heater core hoses could be leaking at the back but that won't excuse the thermostat housing being cracked. 03 or 04. This model has serious issues. The transmission is defective from the factory... All of them. No recall no fix. I know the part number by heart I sold so many valve bodies.

Fusion was excellent back when it was actually a Mazda. I love the look of the new ones. Dunno how well they are built.

Good reviews from 2013 onwards although back seat could be a little narrow if you are really tall person. Not the greatest headriom back there. But Yea the looks is awesome. Got that Aston martin look to it

What kind of MPG does the 2014 model get as far as the Fusion goes?

200 bi weekly with coverage up to 80,000KM in maintenance fees 5year warranty (powertrain) I am limited for certain things like brake changes wiper changes etc..so i would have to use them wisely.
Financing at the moment 0% interest 0 down

Being a ford parts guy around the time I should have remembered this. The leak near the thermostat housing is actually the intake manifold cracking. They redesigned the manifold but never issued a recall. The rear leaks are likely the lower intake gaskets. Repair job all in all is worth more than the truck.

The t state housing leak also coolant will run down the back of engine. Put a thermostat housing in it and recheck leaks

not much on a car that you can fix for $100; except maybe a fuse or a bulb

Your right; I've found plenty of parts at a junk yard for dirt cheap prices;
