I've read reports that Amazon is accepting full paid returns. This would allow you to buy a 1060 or put some extra cash on top and get a 1070. I recommend trying this, if you get a return and grab what's basically a free 1060, you're getting a free 10%+ upgrade. Or if you get an aftermarket 1060 you will even have some extra cash in your pocket.

I'm working with newegg right on on getting a return for my 970, they seem much more stubborn but personally, I'd love a free 1060. I'll update y'all if newegg accepts my return (that's out of the return date).

Newegg isn't what it used to be. Since they got popular there customer service died. I used to use Newegg more than Amazon.
