had to grab this before it was out

great buy man, you gonna do that quad Hydro 2 set up I showed ya?

I read the new AMD proccy isn't that great... but meh.

Single thread performance is less than than sandy bridge but i checked it against one cpu from the last generation core i series and it was a little better. The 8 cores doesnt even come close to making up for it in most situations even those with 8 threads. As predicted it will probably make a decent server cpu. Versus potential SB-E prices yeah its a decent price but versus an i7-2600K/i7-2700K which it has trouble going against its a different story.

Since he was already rocking the x6 i dont think it was that bad of a decision. But yeah most people who wanted it are not getting it. I think alot of people who will get it in the future havent heard the bad news.

The turbo puts it at 4.9

But willis are you sure about 4.9? What is that one pair only or something?
Our starting point was the stock operation of the chip. Our FX-8150 runs at 3.6GHz and 1.2625V by default. When Turbo Core kicks in, the CPU ranges up to 1.4V and 4.2GHz.
In overclocking they couldnt even get their sample to 4.9.

AMD Bulldozer FX-8150 Gets Pitted Against Phenom II X6 1100T in a Clock-to-Clock Benchmark Comparison

The 1100T versus the FX-8150. I had not seen this yet but had heard that it was worse than phenom.
