So, I've been using a pair of JVC cans and a Blue Snowball Table mic. The Mic is fantastic, but it just picks up too much ambient noise.
I read the thread here, so I have some ideas:

Basically, I prefer USB, but am open to standard surround sound jacks. I don't have a sound card, so if I got something like the Sennheiser PC 350 Special Edition, but it sounds like I would need an amplified sound card? I only have the sound card built into the motherboard.

Suggestions? Thoughts?

I think I will try out the wireless Logitech and if that doesn't work out just pony up for the PC 350 SE's.

Thanks guys.

Picked up the G930's and so far so good. Not sure what I need to do to optimize the settings. Fub, what settings do you use?

G930 is for the win... just saying... all you need to know is how to turn on the squirrel voice.

only thing I changed was making a G key middle mouse

in game I turned off enhance . sounds better .

Well, I've been enjoying the G930's quite a bit, but they've been having a lot of issues with disconnecting and not connect at startup. Sometimes it takes me 10 minutes before I can get connected.
I think I will RMA these and get the 350SE's

you won't regret getting the Sennheiser 350's. Had mine for a month and I freakin love them!

about the mic, installing an independent sound card can help a lot as you will have much more controls over your audio and voice systems (i.e. realtek)
