3 tries @ 20+ hours each and 15.4 gig later. Successful download and installed.

Thats better then me. I got Rage and it took me 3 days to down load :(
 
No not 60 hours 72. But one download at my connection speed is about 20 hours. Problem is it had an error the first 2 times. Someone posted a 1:10 min download of the game at a massive 3.3 mbps rate.

I'm with you, I'll never do the download shit again. Disc install is less of a headache, unless you're pilot :)
 
I waited till saturday to downlod it - took me 1hr 30 mins. =) nice and clean install. - from origin
 
yea i waited till saturday. took 50 mins for me. smooth as butter.
 
The great thing is we should have a full server of mostly TBG members from the start. I can't wait to frag all of you! ;p
 
Well i posted this in another thread but this one seems more appropriate. Soon i will be able to tell you how long it took me to download it.. I mean not to soon probably a week or so. I have been babysitting my fucking download its really fucking pathetic. I have to pause it every percent and make a copy of the bf3 folder. When it does have an unexpected error you just restart it close origin and insert the saved bf3 folder and you good to go.

I went through hell but it was worth it. I showed up at gamestop at 845pm PST, waited about 3 1/2 hrs. Went through a bullshit process. First I had to wait in line for the store to close. then, when they opened, all of us that were waiting in line, went in (when I was second) paid and got a reciept. then they said, "you can't leave because we think that ppl could leave and make copies so others can steal this is why its a weak process but its worth it" I respond with "??? we can't leave??? not even to smoke?" they responded with "you can leave to smoke but dont leave the mall or we'll think suspicious" which is understandable. So Anyways, We waited an extra two hours till it hit midnight. Good thing was, they brought out XBOX and we all were playing by taking turns(while waiting for two hrs) 5 mins before they said "ok! we're gonna let in 10 @ a time to give you the game and your on you're way" After going through hell, I'm glad I left early or I woulda been screwed. Another two good things that are happening is, I start my second job on Tuesday and, the job with gamestop will come through. I'm happy as fuck right now!!! the line went out the mall and into the parking lot by the time I left. I'd say there was at least, more than 80 people. good times. :D
