Now, I don't consider myself to be a fast reader by any means, but according to this I read with comprehension 74% faster than the national average and I find that to be kind of scary/sad.

Edit: I had to laugh at the words per minute and how they represent-like 450 was the average college student, 800 is a high scoring college student, etc. Yet, I finished with a 3.79 gpa with my Masters degree and had no problems so I think their comparison chart is a little off.

I got all the answers right twice but I was a slow reader. I think I hit 420 wpm. About an 8th grade level and 4% lower than the National Average.

Bizarre. I still think their chart is off.

I think it's a very small actual difference that makes a huge difference on their chart. I did this again, with a different reading sample and got 480wpm and that jumped to faster than 92% of the national average but is still not fast by any means. So 6 words per minute=18% difference? I wonder what data they used to compile this chart.

[h=2]186 words in 59 seconds[/h]
is that good or bad?

12568 words per minute all three answers correct. How many times can we try? Only took three tries......

13,546 wpm; all 3 correct. That's 5,318% faster than the national average.

I read 138 words per minute.
That makes me 45% slower than the national average.

its probably better to be a slower reader if you getting all the information
