I got a gift to use, thinking about geting a VGA cooler.

What card are you trying to cool, and what's wrong with the stock cooler?

Dam... my computer would not have room for that...

Before you spend money on the cooler is there anything else you could improve upon? Stock coolers are usually more than satisfactory.

Yeah, I'm just thinking... what do you expect to gain from this? Usually aftermarket coolers on video cards don't improve the situation much at all. Also, consider that that cooler will throw the air back in the case, which actually might make it worse, depending on the airflow that's already there...

Airflow isn't an issue,

My case is Thermaltake Level 10 GT, with the added 120MM in bottom to push air in.With my case, right above the GPU, I have a 200mm fan pushing air in.

The stock fan works greaton the GPU. I'm think longevity. IF an aftermarket cooler keeps the card in better shape over the next year or two, that is my logic.

.

That will keep it cooler but on the other hand the 680 runs pretty damn cool already so life expectancy should not be a concern. The aftermarket gpu coolers take up 2 or 3 sli-e slots so if heat's not a problem I wouldn't bother.

What size SSD do you have? $ 150 will take a large chunk out of the cost for a 256GB or bigger.

I run a corsair 120G SSD, Hybrided with a WD 7200 500G Platter. Meaning, all the files are located in the platter drive, and the OS is on the SSD.

And it's $50 Giftcard, I wish it was $150, lol
