Way to go AMD this really set the bar...lower. I swear they've entered into a pricing agreement with Nvidia. Yeah, we'll hear it's because they've included BF4 with the gpu but really? So, a $50.00 game adds more than $100 on to a video card? Now that's what I call fuzzy math.

Bottom line is that AMD is in line with Nvidia's pricing scheme for top tier cards. They have been creeping this way in recent years, but this smacks of collusion.

Sounds like there should be another class action lawsuit against Nvidia and AMD/ATi for price fixing. California had done one back in 2008, but wasn't sure what came of the lawsuit.

Bottom line is my hope for restoring the price to a more normal level is quickly fading after seeing that announcement.

Is this official from AMD or a rumour?
I've only read rumours this morning and there was more $649 than $699 prices but I guess we'll see soon!

I don't see the issue this will be the fastest card available and its still $300 cheaper than a titan...

1. We don't know it's the fastest card available. Nothing has been tested that can be verified.
2. Even the 780 Classifieds are faster than a Titan and sell for $650
3. Why has AMD kept jumping the price of their top performing card to be higher than Nvidia? It's not cost or lack of production so WTF?

guys, you really shouldnt need more than 680s unless you're running a nuclear fusion reactor in your backyard and you want to model every reaction. Don't waste your money on rather useless upgrades and buy yourself cool stuff, like guns and beer.

I'm sure it's just coincidence....again. I thought the FTC or someone was going to smack their pee-pee for this shit a couple of years ago?

I guess the new high-end is $700 now... and I thought buying cards for $500 was pretty bad already. I remember when I bought a 7900 GT back in the day for about $250, volt modded it with a circuit writer pen, and felt like a god. :-D

Ahh the memories. And dat cute cooler :-D . Things have changed in the last 8+ years...

I always say if you don't like the price...Don't fucking buy it!?
Plus it's competitively priced with their only competition. Who prices their highest end card at $1000.
